I had one student this week tell my wife (somewhat pessimistically) that her life now is meaningless because the afterlife is all that matters. My wife assured her otherwise. But the girl would rather not fix the boat that crashed into the island because THAT boat doesn’t matter. It’s a shame and a poor product of our churches’ teachings.
