Anyway, I, too, had little knowledge of Walter Wink, besides that he coined the phrase: &quot;the myth of redemptive violence&quot; (thanks, Wikipedia). His session was continually quoted throughout, which helped tie in the entire conference.

I had one student this week tell my wife (somewhat pessimistically) that her life now is meaningless because the afterlife is all that matters. My wife assured her otherwise. But the girl would rather not fix the boat that crashed into the island because THAT boat doesn&#039;t matter. It&#039;s a shame and a poor product of our churches&#039; teachings.</description>
